An original German Christmas specialty of Nürnberg in Bavaria, is a delicious thick, soft, cake-like nut cookie. We make it according to the classic Nuremberg recipe called "Elisenlebkuchen". This is the most upscale variety of the Nuernberg Lebkuchen with a very high degree of nut content and low flour content. Our Lebkuchen comes in traditional packages of 6 with a mix of sugar and chocolate covered.

History of Lebkuchen
The production of Lebkuchen dates back to the Middle Ages, formerly produced by German monks in Frankonia, in Bavaria, the region around Nuremberg. Elisenlebkuchen have been known since 1808 and are named after the wife of a Bavarian Count. As the tradition calls for it we offer the Lebkuchen either coated with rich, dark chocolate or sugar glazed. on wafers soft freshly made. Shelf life 5 weeks if kept in plastic bag. Bag of 6, mix of sugar coated and chocolate covered.

This product is made with Almonds, Hazelnuts, Sugar, Egg White, Orange Peel, Lemon Peel, Ground Spices, Ammonium Bicarbonate, Enriched Wheat Flour, Chocolate Liquor, Cocoa Butter, Cinnamon, Milk Powder, Cocoa Powder, Soya Lecithin, Vanilla, Citric Acid. Our products are produced on machinery that also process other tree nuts (e.g. Walnuts and Hazelnuts).
