Is there a store we can come to?
Unfortunately - no. There is no store and we are not open to the public where we bake. We are a wholesale bakery and do not have any sales from the facility direct to the public. You can
order Stollen online or buy at any of retail partners' stores during the Holiday Season.
 
Where is the bakery located?
Our facility is located in San Carlos close to the Holly Street exit off Highway 101. The address is 915 Terminal Way, San Carlos, CA 94070. We are a wholesale Bakery and do not sell directly to the public from the facility.
 
Where are the bakery team members from?
Natalia is from Hamburg, Germany, Jared is Austrian (although he was born in Canada, is a dual citizen, and did most of his growing up in London, England - you figure it out)...
 
How long have you been in business?
We have been in business since the end of 2004. We are still a young company with fresh ideas and lots of energy to serve you and take on the U.S. baked goods market with a gusto!
 
What makes your Stollen so special?
First and foremost, we bake with passion and love for our product. In addition we use only the best possible ingredients that are natural and organic. However our Stollen is special, because we have created some of the most unique Stollen flavors that you can only get from Sterntaler Bakery. For example we have a tangy Cranberry-Orange Stollen that gives our Stollen a distinctly American Twist. Our Stollen is unique, and we are proud of it and it is something that you can taste in every bite.
 
What is your most popular Stollen flavor?
All of our Stollen flavors are delicious (of course!), and our answer to people is, it depends on what you are in the mood for. If you like nuts and rich nut flavors, then you cannot go wrong with the Walnut or Praline (Hazelnut) Stollen. For those of us who love chocolate, the rich Belgian chocolate in our Chocolate Stollen is sure to delight, and if you like fruitiness, fresh flavor, and tanginess then Cranberry-Orange is your choice. Of course, the Christmas Stollen is our favorite for the holidays. For more information on the different Stollen varieties see

How big is a Stollen and how many servings?
A Stollen is approximately 2.5 lbs (depending on the flavor) - the Christmas and Cranberry-Orange Stollen is approximately 2.6lbs - and you can get about 13 to 15 slices out of a Stollen.
 
How long will my product stay fresh?
Stollen stays fresh for a long time. Your Stollen, if stored at room temperature (un-refrigerated) and kept in its plastic bag will stay fresh for about 6 weeks. For more information on product freshness, see our

Is there a detailed ingredient list for those of us with allergies?

Can I freeze my product?
A Stollen can stay fresh for a long time (approximately 6 weeks) so there is no real need to freeze your product. In fact, we do not recommend freezing Stollen. Remember that freezing can dry out products, especially if they remain frozen for longer periods of time. However, if you want to freeze your Stollen you can do so. After you defrost your Stollen it will stay fresh for approximately 4-6 weeks.
 
Do your products contain nuts?
Some of our Stollen are made with tree nuts (Walnuts, Hazelnuts, Pecans, and Almonds). We do not use peanuts in any of our products, and our facility does not use peanuts in any of our production. Products that do not contain nuts are made on the same machinery used to process our nut filled products and may contain traces of nuts.
 
Are your products sugar free, gluten free, or vegan suitable?
Sorry - NO. We use sugar, butter, and wheat flour.
 
Who do you use for shipping?
We generally ship products to our customers via United States Postal Service Priority Mail. When you
order products online you will receive them within 3-5 business days (the US Postal Service can ship anywhere in the United States within this timeframe). Large Bulk orders to retail and wholesale customers are dealt with via our logistics and distribution partners.
 
Do you ship outside the United States?
We can make arrangements to ship to you if you live outside the United States. Please contact us directly at
info@sterntalerbakery.com to arrange details.
 
Do you ship to P.O Boxes?
The United States Postal Service ships to P.O. Boxes - i.e. so do we!
 
Which days do you ship and deliver?
We ship to you every day of the week except Sundays. Please keep in mind that the United States Postal Service is not open on Sundays so we can only send your orders out Monday through Saturday.
 
How long will it take to get my order?
It usually takes us a day to process your order from the time we receive it, and then We ship it via United States Priority Mail. Priority Mail takes approximately 3-5 business days for you to receive your order if you live in the United States.
 
What payment forms do you accept?
For orders placed online, our payments are processed via
Paypal. You do not need a Paypal account - all major credit cards are accepted. If you are picking up an order directly from us, we accept cash or check.
 
Can I e-mail my order?
Yes you can - just drop us e-mail to
order@sterntalerbakery.com. For any inquiries about ordering or other general questions please send e-mail to info@sterntalerbakery.com.
 
Can you bill my company for corporate orders?
If you would like to place an order for you company, then please contact us directly by e-mail at
order@sterntalerbakery.com. We can make all arrangements with you directly.
 
Can I buy your products at retail stores?
You can buy our products at select, exclusive retail locations in California, and Washington State. We are working at adding more retail partners for your convenience. For locations near you see our

Do you have a price list or product list?
Our Stollen flavors and prices are all listed in our
